Mission and Values

Samilia organization has the selfless aim of contributing to the elimination of THB by promoting, among citizens and the community, the development of education and the expression of an individual and collective culture attached to the promotion of the civil, political, social and economic rights of individuals, including children, as well as respect for human dignity, the principles of equality and non-discrimination.

Samilia organization thus intends to combat human rights violations, in particular human trafficking, with particular attention to people in vulnerable situations, through information, awareness-raising and prevention actions, mainly in the territory of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.

The achievement of this selfless goal is carried out in Belgium, in particular through the establishment and implementation of campaigns, activities and awareness sessions and events (symposia, conferences), with the following objectives:

  • Informing and raising awareness among citizens about the realities of human trafficking (and the risks associated with it);
  • The creation, maintenance and support of a network of partners with field organizations active with populations vulnerable to THB within the sectors concerned, with the aim of informing and raising awareness, and thus facilitating detection and improving the care of victims;
  • Advocacy and awareness-raising among public authorities on the phenomenon of human trafficking and the need for prevention measures and improved or additional measures.
