At Samilia, we are committed to fighting all forms of human trafficking by informing, training, and mobilizing citizens, young people, professionals, and decision-makers. Our goal: to break down ignorance, denounce exploitation, protect fundamental rights, and address the root causes of trafficking. Because no one should be a commodity, and no exploitation should remain in the shadows. <\/p>

Samilia recognizes that every human being has equal value, regardless of their origin, gender, migration status, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic conditions. Through its prevention and awareness-raising efforts, Samilia aims to dismantle the stereotypes and discrimination that make some people more vulnerable to trafficking. The fight against human trafficking requires a collective response. Samilia works in solidarity with victims and those at risk, as well as with other civil society actors, social services, schools, municipalities, and institutions. Samilia promotes a culture of mutual aid, where citizens are informed, trained, and mobilized to act together in the face of a complex and often invisible phenomenon. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Human trafficking is rooted in structural inequalities. Samilia is committed to social justice to ensure decent living conditions for all, and to ensure that no one is forced into exploitation networks.

HUMAN RIGHTS<\/span>

Samilia places human rights at the heart of its work: the right to freedom, security, dignity, physical and mental integrity, and decent work, among others. Samilia raises awareness among the general public and young people about the importance of these fundamental rights, which are not always guaranteed for everyone. Samilia denounces violations of the rights of victims of trafficking and advocates for their unconditional recognition, support, and protection.

SAMILIA'S ACTIONS:
FOR WHOM?<\/h2>\n <\/div>\n\n \n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Samilia’s actions target a wide range of vulnerable groups, including professionals who play a key role in preventing and responding to human trafficking (THB). The main beneficiaries include: <\/p>

  • People vulnerable to THB and potential victims, with particular attention paid to young people, people in precarious situations and people from minorities (ethnic, gender, class, sexual orientation, etc.). As these individuals are more often exposed to increased risks of exploitation, it is essential that they can be made aware and have access to information and tools in order to protect themselves against the risks of exploitation independently, by strengthening their ability to identify the signs of THB and protect themselves from them. <\/li>
  • Social workers and\/or those in contact with vulnerable populations, who need to be raised awareness and supported to detect signs of THB, particularly in contexts of increased vulnerability, such as schools and youth welfare settings. By strengthening the skills of workers in the professional worlds of social, medical, education, etc. Samilia aims to enable them to identify the signs of THB and intervene effectively. 1st and 2nd line professionals, often in direct contact with people at risk, play a crucial role in detecting and preventing the phenomenon. Targeted awareness-raising allows them to act upstream, better understand the dynamics of exploitation and offer a rapid and appropriate response. <\/li>
  • Public and private institutions. Samilia conducts advocacy efforts to raise awareness among these institutions of the need for a coordinated, integrated, and systematic approach to combating human trafficking, while encouraging them to improve their responses to this complex phenomenon. In this way, Samilia contributes to building an integrated network for the prevention and care of people vulnerable to human trafficking by encouraging institutions to adapt their policies and practices to better protect these individuals. <\/li>
  • Civil society as a whole.<\/strong> Through awareness campaigns, public events, and participatory initiatives, Samilia encourages collective awareness of the risks of exploitation to which certain populations are exposed. The goal is to strengthen social solidarity and ensure that every citizen feels responsible for the fight against human trafficking and mobilizes against the injustices associated with it. <\/li><\/ul>
